How often should I meet for counselling?
Because everyone has different preferences and factors to consider when deciding how often to meet with a counsellor, there is not a set or "right" answer to this question. On average, most people will meet with me on a weekly basis for the first 4-10 sessions, and then gradually meet less frequently. Like all aspects of my work, I approach arranging the frequency of sessions in a collaborative way that suits the client's life, finances, and other commitments. But to get the most benefit out of therapy, it is suggested to meet every 1-2 weeks at first.
